The inspiration for this poem is someone i care about and love who's ex husband told her he would take all that was dear from heer if she left him, she did leave to stop the abuse and to give her daughter a violence and alcholic free home. When I met her she was living without basic life necessities and had not had her daughter for months, now more than 2 years later she is still without her daughter and has only physically seen her for 33 hours in those 2 years plus. They share 2 ten minute phone calls per week, her ex husband harrases them during most of those though."Whats the reason her daughter was taken?" you ask, well the reason stated according to court documents is that she used the words appropriate and inappropriate, thats right no drugs, violence or neglect of any kind, just the fact that her Mother is an intelligent educated woman and taught her daughter at a young age what was appropriate and what was inappropriate so that she would not be a victim of sexual assault like her mother was as a child. After all this time, and all the injustice, and all the people that said they would help but ended up taking something from her, this mother still struggles.
